The Ukrainian Canadian Research and Documentation Centre evolved from a filmmaking project of the Famine Research Committee and has continued to consider the collection of materials for and the production of documentary films one of its main objectives. The UCRDC has produced two one-hour documentaries and contributed to the production of a third.
UCRDC provided critical funding for this film, a documentary by
Yurij Luhovy, about Canada’s internment of Ukrainians from 1914 to 1920.
The documentary deals with the 1932-33 Famine-Genocide in Ukraine and is available in English, French and Spanish language versions on DVD and the Ukrainian version on video.
Between Hitler and Stalin: Ukraine in World War II, the Untold Story
A film by Slawko Nowytski, the one-hour documentary recounts events in Ukraine on the brink and during the course of World WarII stressing the events that highlight Ukraine’s situation between two warring totalitarian dictators.

A Canadian Way Story
The new documentary film "A Canadian War Story", produced by the Ukrainian Canadian Research and Documentation Centre and directed by Winnipeg filmmaker John Paskievich, is now available for purchase from UCRDC.
