(Excerpt):

Interviewer: Could we get into some detail with the Holodomor National Awareness Tour Project?

BD: Basically, I came up with the idea when I was in the shop where I stored my exhibit material that I used to build exhibits. There was a bus there, the national, what the hell did they call it, the Jewish bus. So I saw that and I said 'oh that would be perfect for a Holodomor bus.' So I called a friend of mine, Bob Onyshchuk, to see how we can get money to build the bus. So, him being very big in government, we submitted a paper to the, at that time, the Harper government, and fortunately we got awarded the money. So I had it designed by my former partner and myself and then I had it built. And it’s one of my proudest achievements as a Ukrainian because the aim of that was: everybody knew about the Holocaust but nobody knew about the Holodomor and I decided it’s high time that Canada should know about the Holodomor because it was a great genocide.
